Step-by-step guide
Running the EA on a VPS 24/7
A VPS keeps the terminal online when your laptop sleeps. Migration must preserve license, WebRequest, and monitoring.
Same account binding
Moving terminals does not create a new license. The Serial Key remains bound to the MT5 account number.
Step-by-step guide

- 1
Choose latency-aware hosting
Prefer VPS locations close to your broker's servers when possible. Unstable hosts create silent downtime.
- 2
Provision Windows access
You need remote desktop credentials and enough RAM/CPU for MT5 charts you actually run.
- 3
Install MetaTrader 5 on the VPS
Install a clean MT5 build from your broker. Avoid copying an entire corrupted terminal folder when possible.
- 4
Copy the EA and presets
Place the `.ex5` in Experts and load your Finversa `.set` preset after attach.
- 5
Re-enable WebRequest
WebRequest is per installation. Add the Finversa URL again on the VPS terminal.
- 6
Log in to the same MT5 account
Use the account already bound to the license. A different account number will fail authorization.
- 7
Attach EA and verify license ping
Confirm AutoTrading is on and the dashboard license shows a fresh last ping. Open license guide
- 8
Keep RDP session policy clear
Know whether your VPS keeps MT5 running after RDP disconnect. Some hosts kill sessions unless configured.
